In April 2021, our partner Altair Inc. hosted a unique student contest on digital-twin concept, where they selected our Ball Balancing Table as the main subject. The contest was a unique experience of a digital twin mechatronics simulation concept, and it was a quick way to learn model-based controller design concepts using the Activate® and other 3D + 1D system co-simulation software tools of the Altair. More information about the contest can be learnt from this link. The contest received great and highly creative submissions from students all over the world. The best results were selected and announced by Altair in May 2021.
