Delta Robot has a Native Python Option Now!
ACROME’s educational Delta Robot is now open-source thanks to native Python support! With its new dedicated controller and Python library, academics can jump into the world of robotics without any proprietary software license requirement.
The system is based of 4 major parts.
USB TTL module is used for serial communication between PC and Acrome Controller. The PC is responsible for running the Python codes. Acrome Controller and Motor Driver Border connected with flat cables and the provided DC power supply feeds these 2 parts at once.
We have prepared a serial communication protocol to communicate with Acrome Controller. We have created a library in Python so that the end user does not have to deal with the packages to be sent and received to the controller.
As a Case Study, we developed a vision-guided Pick and Place Application fully in Python: A major IT company is now also working on robotic demo systems for low-latency internet protocols using ACROME's Delta Robot.
Here are some example applications of Delta Robot;
- Pick and Plac
- Vision Guided Separation
- Digital Conveyor Band Using A Tablet APK
Our team is excited about this development and would like to share the details of this application with anyone who is interested. If you are interested, please contact us!
